Dear ICRAV delegate,
The conference is now less than four months away, the Organizing Committee decided to extend the deadline for abstracts and registration
Submission of Abstracts: The deadline for abstracts has been extended to 31st July
The Organising Committee recommends you forward abstracts for ICRAV 2016 as soon as possible to assist us with the organisation of the programme. Much of the success of ICRAV is dependant upon you , the contributors, through your submitted papers which form the core of the meeting. We look forward to receiving your abstracts either for oral or poster presentation as soon as possible.
We strongly recommend that you finalize your itinerary; register for the conference, book your accommodation and book your flights as soon as possible.
Furthermore, because October is the start of peak season, Sheraton Montevideo Hotel will not guarantee rooms following this deadline.
If you intend coming to Uruguay ICRAV 2016, please do not delay. Click on www.icrav2016.com
To whet your appetite; the Preliminary Program follows … to highlight what issues will be addressed, and to demonstrate where you could contribute with your own presentation, or in the various discussions.
The Organizing Committee extend a warm welcome to you, your family and colleagues attending ICRAV 2016.
Members of ICRAV2016 Organizing Committee
Analytical Sessions will be held on the Wednesday morning of the Conference and all day on Thursday and Friday. As with previous Conferences, the Analytical Sessions rely primarily upon your submitted papers and the sessions will be organised according to the submitted papers received. We encourage you to submit abstracts addressing, but not limited to, the following themes: Mass Spectrometry, Proteins and Peptides, "Omics" Technologies, Drug Metabolism, New Methods/Technologies, Separation Science and Threshold Value Substance.
On an annual basis, Mario Thevis and his colleagues produce a WADA Science review paper. We have introduced this concept at ICRAV 2016 and the review will be presented by James Scarth from LGC. The review will cover developments, over the past two years, in the range of ‘small’ and ‘large’ molecule analytes that require detection/quantification, sample matrices and associated sample preparation procedures, instrumental advances/applications, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, the emergence and prevalence of ‘endogenous’ compounds as well as emerging biomarker and OMICs approaches.
As in previous years, there is generous support for the Conference by some of the Mass Spectrometer Manufacturers. The Mass Spectrometry Session will provide the opportunity for these Manufacturers to inform you of the latest developments in their instrumentation.
